The simplex CCDACT used with the 4005 is programmed separately from the main panel using any terminal emulation software such as Hyperterminal. I have the programming manual if you need it. You will need a Simplex programming cable though. I have the pin out for that.
It can only send 4+2 or 3/1 formats. It may be easier to simply disable the internal dialer and install an external of your liking. You can disable it through the keypad. The default programming passcode is 4000. If this has been changed and you don't know what it is, you will not be able to disable the dialer.

NEVER connect phone lines to a DACT until it is programmed for your application. If there is programming in the unit it will want to connect to a central station when powered up. That could cause an unneeded dispatch somewhere.
